The modification program is specifically designed for dogs over 6 months of age that have been experiencing behavioral or obedience problems at home. The modification program works on obedience skills and other unwanted behaviors such as jumping or inappropriate greeting.
We are results driven, so dogs advance based on how they perform with YOU. We will be working together to advance your dog.
Each Modification semester is 4 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday, but since owners advance their dog to the next level, participation is key to keep your dog moving forward. Because no dog is the same, each dog that attends The Modification Program will have a unique training plan customized to you and your dog’s needs. All Modification dogs enter the program Modification 1.
Modification 1: Includes two complementary Classes. It teaches boundaries such as wait, body boundaries, and impulse control. We are also introducing the marker system and the language we use to communicate with your dog. This is the beginning of basic obedience and impulse control. Starting to hold positions with duration, strengthening and learning more vocabulary, and consistency.
Modification 2: Includes two complementary classes which include the graduation class. Modification 2 consists of adding distractions to all previously learned skills (i.e. movement, sounds, other environments). Expanding duration of impulse control.
We may require an initial evaluation in order to help us cater to its specific needs and sign them up for the appropriate program. Space is limited due to the personalized training we dedicate to each dog and their family. Please call to set up your evaluation today.
